The Mind and the Body are both parts of the same system: any change in one part will and must have an effect on the other part : you cannot separate the two.

Psycho-soma-tic illness (from the Greek 'mind-body' ... ic) is very real for everyone and never just 'all in the mind'. The way that we think effects how we feel in our bodies and, conversely, how we think effects what we experience physically in our bodies. At last, 'mental' stress has been recognised as a serious illness that has physical consequences and costs the UK economy much more than £10,000,000,000 each and every year: i.e. those people, who are effected and signed off work because of it, are physically not fit to work!

Modern conventional, drug-based, medicine seeks primarily to adjust the chemical makeup of body. While we do not dispute this approach in any way, what goes on in the mind does have an enormous part to play in the healing process.

HOW DO WE USE OUR LIFE CHANGING THERAPIES TO HELP YOU?

From the initial consultation onwards, we work to create a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment in which any individual can explore the possibilities of change or growth with us.

In the initial consultation, we give you the opportunity, without obligation, to explain more about your case and issues and to develop confidence in us. As we learn more about you, we can explain how we would set about helping you and answer any questions. We also can give an estimate of the number of sessions or time likely to achieve a satisfactory outcome. Our aim is to make all treatments as effective, rapid and affordable as possible to suit the client’s real needs.

Unlike most counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy or psychotherapy, we find that most clients rarely feel the need for more than just a few sessions to make lasting and profound change in their lives, beliefs or behaviours. Only in a coaching context are we likely to work with clients over an extended period.

We believe that everyone has all the personal resources they need, however limiting beliefs and behaviours may seem an insurmountable obstacle that prevents them from finding and utilising the resources they already have.
